As founder and principal of the 1 Link divisions, Mary Kate’s experience in the field of coordinating home care and long-term care services spans more than 30 years, managing home care nursing, therapy, and aide services for a prominent home care agency. Her degree in Human Services includes a specialization in Gerontology, Mary Kate is nationally certified as a Care Manager awarded by the Aging Life Care Association, formerly known as the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. Additionally, she holds a national certification as a resource specialist in Aging & Disability from AIRS, the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems, an international agency that sets quality standards for those who provide information and referrals in the field of aging and those with disabilities.
Since 1998, Mary Kate served consistently in an advisory role to Camden County Office for Disabled Services, followed then by the Camden County Office for Aging & Disabled Services, chair Emeritus since 2006. In 2019, Mary Kate began as co-chair of the newly combined Advisory Council to the Camden County Division of Aging and Disabled Services, Aging and Disability Resource Connection and CPAC (Community Planning & Advocacy) Human Services Advisory Council sub-coalition for Aging and People with Disabilities. She is also a member of the New Jersey Tri-County Ethics Committee (NJ TREC), NJ TREC an organization of professionals created to assist others to resolve complex ethical health care decisions and end of life care issues.
Patty is an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist and has over 40 years of experience as a nurse in adult health, chronic illness, and patient safety. She also holds a Master of Science in Oncology Nursing and her Doctoral research is focused on health care quality and patient- centered care.As a University nursing faculty, Patty stays up to date on the very latest treatments, the newest medications and patient teaching methods. As a clinical consultant, Patty provides our clients and families with a greater understanding and guidance about their illness or disease process and can work with clients’ physicians(s) to further increase the quality of care, and hence, quality of life.
Nancy is an Advanced Practice nurse with Prescriptive Authority and holds a Master of Science in Geropsychiatric Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and a BSN from Cornell University. A skilled nurse practitioner and educator, Nancy helps our clients and their loved ones deal with the challenges related to dementia, depression, or other mental health problems. Her expertise includes medication management, psychotherapy, and other related supports. Nancy provides individualized care planning and expert strategies that help families better manage their loved ones with aggression, sundowning, or other types of difficult behaviors.
Colleen is a licensed social worker whose mission is to provide clients with a better understanding of themselves to improve their life and relationships. Colleen holds a Master’s Degree in in Clinical Social Work, she is certified in Neurologic Music Therapy, Art Therapy, and other therapeutic modalities to help children and adults alike. Colleen helps many people improve their interpersonal relationships, cope with life’s unexpected crises, and learn delegation skills and other techniques to maintain a work/life balance. Her consult can help clients and their loved ones explore how therapy can reduce stress, promote peace of mind, and maintain harmony in their lives.

What is the difference between 1 link 4 Senior Care and 1 Link 4 Care?
1 Link 4 Senior Care is the division that serves clients who are 65 and older, and 1 Link 4 Care’s division supports those age 18 -64. Both divisions provide advocacy, care coordination, and consultation to help clients and their families make informed decisions on matters related to aging or disability.
What is the cost of services and how is it paid?
1 Link offers both flat-rate and hourly pricing. We will be happy to review our service price list with you during our free consultation. Some long-term care insurance policies have provisions that pay for care management services. Our clients or their loved ones pay privately for the service otherwise.
What geographic areas do you serve?
Currently, 1 Link serves the Tri-State Area of NJ, PA & DE. Though there is a surcharge for travel, it is dependent upon Google maps mileage from 1 Link’s Haddonfield, NJ office. The first 15 minutes of travel are free. Mileage surcharge is given at the time of consideration to engage our services.
What if I need immediate help?
If you or a loved one is experiencing a health crisis, contact 911. You should always contact your primary care doctor, nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant to discuss health concerns. Should you choose to enlist 1 Link’s services, we will collaborate with your primary care provider if needed, but if you need immediate help, you should contact them first.
